VetMed Animal Health Blog

A white cat has come into the fold at VetMed Animal Health and needs a home of her own. We have lovingly named her Athena. She was injured badly and has had her right rear leg amputated. Now that the painful leg has been removed she is recovering nicely. A joint venture between a very generous client of ours (who wishes to remain anonymous), Hope’s Haven (a non-profit rescue group) and VetMed Animal Health provided all of the care for this precious cat with no expense to the adoptor of Athena.

Here is what we know about her. She is 1-2 years old, spayed, solid white domestic shorthair. She has tested negative for heartworms, FIV and feline leukemia. She is in good health but a bit thin. We are working to get some extra weight on her, she loves to eat! Athena will be vaccinated and dewormed before placement in her new home!

She is proving to be spunky, meows when she wants attention and we will be observing her behavior around other animals. Athena also likes to be held and loved on.

For those of you that are clients of VetMed or have followed our blog you are familiar with Mojo. He also has three legs and is able to run, jump, play and be a normal cat. Athena can live a normal life! Please spread the word to all of your friends. Hi all,

We are looking at updating the website.  Hopefully, you will be able to get to information faster and allow us to get as much information as we can to you as efficiently as possible.  Stay tuned!

Join us at Bark in the Park, Saturday May 1st from 1-5. We will be there with some balloons and some giveaways, there is a silent auction, contests and food. Come by and chat with us and bring your dog (on a leash of course). On May 6th, 2010, VetMed Animal Health will be celebrating it’s 1 year anniversary.  We would like to thank all of our friends and family, and especially our client base.  It has been a wonderful experience.  If you’re up to it, stop by on the 6th and take some pictures with the staff or just say hello!
